Sindlesham Court wedding photography

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Sindlesham Court in Winnersh is a Masonic Lodge that now does civil ceremonies and civil partnerships in its’ large airy chapel which is quite stunning. The inside of the building has been recently rennovated and looks beautiful, and the room used to welcome the bride and groom or same sex partners by the registrar is quite stunning. Below are a few photographs that show the inside of the wedding venue. It has a huge main hall which can take up to 250 people and still have room for a dance floor or 400 people for a sit down meal only. If you are looking for a wedding photographer as well as a stunning venue then please call me to discuss details.

Sherfield School - wedding venue

Wednesday, February 17th, 2010

What a beautiful setting for a wedding!  This Victorian era building still has many original features like high ceilings with plaster mouldings, chandaliers hanging from rosettes in the ceiling, huge fire places and wood paneling. The extensive grounds have tennis courts and football pitches and 72 acres to roam in. A wedding here is a very special event.

Frencham Ponds Hotel Wedding Fair

Saturday, January 30th, 2010

Had a good day at Frencham Ponds Hotel on 24th Jan 2010, what a beautiful hotel for weddings and civil ceremonies. A huge lake out the front with a small stream and a bridge to cross over for feeding the water birds. There is also a nice area round the back for photographs, a nice rural venue for a wedding or civil ceremony.

Newbury Hilton Hotel Wedding Fair

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

Great day on Sunday lots of brides through the door and a couple deffinitley seemed interested in me as their wedding photographer so lets hope the phone rings in the next couple of days.

The Hilton is a lovely modern hotel, some can be a bit cold and soleless, but the Hilton at Newbury is lovely, a nice chandalier as you come in the main door and lots of wood panelling give a warm cossy feeling. THe main room used for weddings is light and airy so good for indoor photogrpahy as well.

Wedding Fairs (fayres) what are they

Sunday, February 15th, 2009

There are hundreds of wedding fairs these days, most venues that hold wedding ceremonies hold at least 1 wedding fair a year, they are usually held during September, October, January, Febraury and March, occasionally they are held in November and April or even July. They consist of suppliers of wedding day paraphernalia of all shapes, sizes and types, including bridal dresses, mens wear, cars, photographers, jewelry, entertainers, cakes, florists, caterers and much more. There is usually at least one of each supplier category and usually in the case of photographers 2 or more. It gives you the oportunity to see the suppliers wares, talk to them, have a look round the venue and get lots of ideas for things you could spend your money on that you never knew existed. It is well worth visiting at least one if you are planning a wedding.
